Jeremy Bullmore portrait

Advertising executive Jeremy Bullmore, former president of the Market Research Society and non-executive director at WPP, has died aged 93.

Jeremy, who started his career as a copywriter at J. Walter Thompson London, later becoming chairman, was appointed as president of MRS in 2005. He has also chaired the Advertising Association, served as president of industry charity NABS and held non-executive director roles at the Guardian Media Group and WPP.

Jeremy was also a valued Founder Patron of the AMSR, who supported the idea of creating an Archive for market and social research from the very beginning.  He gave us unstinting help and financial support to help put the Archive on a secure footing, for which we will forever be grateful.

Last year, WPP established an archive to make accessible Jeremy’s work, including speeches, essays and memos.

We will miss Jeremy’s support and wise words and send our condolences to his family and friends.
